X-ray images of the container or vehicle are viewed and analyzed on the Image Display Terminal. Side and/or top x-ray views of the container or vehicle along with a digital image of the manifest documents are compared for accuracy.
The manifest is scanned into the system prior to acquiring the x-ray image and is stored in the Database Server. After the vehicle is scanned‚ the Central Control Console controls the scan‚ calls the manifest view from the database server and displays the x-ray views along with the manifest image on the Image Display Terminal.
The Image Display Terminal is built on Windows® 2000™; its graphical user interface is presented in a familiar Windows environment‚ shortening the operator learning curve and training time. Visual analysis tools such as brightness‚ contrast‚ zoom in and out‚ color-coded density presets and a series of filters‚ improve operator decision-making.
Because the system is Windows-based‚ data archiving‚ retrieval‚ and transfer are simplified. The system can also be integrated with relational databases for more sophisticated data handling capability.
